The Monroes requested a rocky coastline, a lighthouse, and a visit to the state of Maine. Thanks to the advice of a sweet neighbor, we found all 3 near York, Maine.
The Monroes make it to Maine!
It was really far down, but Kaitlyn jumped it. The photos don't show it, but it is really steep and a long way down. Kaitlyn and Hayden loved climbing in and out of the rock crevices and up and down the cliffs. Luckily Uncle Ron only had to rescue Kaitlyn twice.
Hayden enjoying the rocky ledge. Hayden and I walked to the bottom and took off our shoes to watch the frigid Atlantic Ocean's tide rush between the rocks. Brrr.
Shannon kept Jackson up high, away from the cliffs.
I've waited 3 years for my sister to make it up this way. It was so nice for them to spend a chunk of her summer with us in New Hampshire.
